Catch all the small bass you want at Bibb County Lake. Anglers are encouraged to keep bass smaller than 14 inches in order for more bream to be available for the public and to keep the larger bass growing.

The biggest largemouth bass caught in 2007 was between this 11.4 lb bass caught by Steven Owens of Centreville and an 11.1 lb bass caught by Brandon Hamilton. Sight fishing in March and April using white lizards and a host of other artificials produce some of our biggest bass of the year.

Black crappie are found in the numerous brush piles. Any size crappie can be kept at Bibb County Lake.

Sabra McCurdy used a shad colored tube bait to catch the largest bass. A monster junebug colored worm fooled the other. Both fish were released, so look for them this spring.

Scottie Smith caught a 6- and 7-pound largemouth bass.
