Largemouth Bass

"Big Mouth," "Lunker," "Bucket Mouth," "Wall Hanger," or whatever your favorite term is, Lee County Lake has its share of large bass.  Not long ago, Lee County Lake had an abundance of smaller bass, but large bass were few and far between. Special management efforts have resulted in some pretty fine bass fishing.  We have a abundance of special structure in the lake for bass and bass anglers to use. We cannot guarantee a trophy, but we guarantee the trophy bass are in Lee County Lake.

Email your pictures to Doug Darr. Let me know the date caught and the bait used. Send me the name if the angler, if you want the name posted.
We are still looking to certify a lake record largemouth bass (10-pound minimum).
Largemouth bass over 8 pounds or 23 inches may qualify for a Master Angler Certificate.
Largemouth bass over 10 pounds or 25 inches may qualify for a Trophy Angler Certificate.
We also have an angler recognition program for other sport fish.

Some monster bass are caught from Lee County Lake.	Michael Looney with a 6+ largemouth bass caught with a Mann's 6-inch junebug-colored lizard from Lee County Lake on May 1, 2006.
May 20, 2007, Ryan Bennett caught this 4 and half pound largemouth bass on a black Zoom baby brush hog.	Looks like these boys enjoyed a great day fishing at Lee County Lake near Auburn, Alabama.
