I wonder why Monroe County Lake has such a good reputation for bream fishing; Troy and Tyler Sessions from Camden, Spring 2012.

Tommy Purcell with a 4.7 pound bass collected at Monroe County Lake during standardized spring sampling on March 12, 2012. The largest bass collected this date was 6.5 pounds.

Tommy Purcell with two nice redear collected at Monroe County Lake during standardized spring sampling. Biologists collected 105 redear exceeding 1/2 pound, the largest of which was 1.4 pounds on March 12, 2012.

Kyle Bolton with two nice "delta" bass broodstock collected for ALDCNR's "big bass" project. 23 bass with average weight of 4.1 pounds were transported to Marion State Fish Hatchery for spawning March 5, 2012.
