Horned Pondweed

Scientific Name: Zannichellia palustris 

Distinguishing Characteristics:
•Opposite leaves that are thin and ribbon-like. Leaves similar to Potamogeton diversifolius, but leaves are opposite.
•Tiny flowers or “horns” at leaf bases.
•Growth habit similar to pondweeds.
