The Department has specific regulations about the use of these boating and fishing access areas. If you have questions about these boating and fishing access areas, contact the District VI Fisheries Supervisor.

Approximately 11 river miles downstream of the dam at Elba, there is a concrete boat ramp off County Road 474 near Kinston. This ramp has some broken concrete sections at the bottom which can be a problem when the river is low. This ramp is not owned by the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division.
*AWFF is the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division.

Sport Fish Restoration program funds come from the excise taxes on fishing equipment, fish finders, motorboat fuels, and small engine fuels. A minimum of 15% of these funds are allocated to the maintenance of existing ramps and the construction of new ramps.
