Stripling Promoted to Area Sergeant

Lamar County Conservation Enforcement Officer Eddie L. Stripling was recently promoted to Area Sergeant in District I.  His responsibilities will include coordinating training in the District and supervising field officers. Counties in District I include Colbert, Cullman, Fayette, Franklin, Lamar, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Morgan, Walker and Winston.

A graduate of the University of Alabama Police Academy, Stripling has been with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries for 18 years. He served 14 years in Lamar County and 4 in Wilcox. In 1988 he was named Southeastern Conservation Enforcement Officer of the Year, and the National Wild Turkey Federation Conservation Enforcement Officer of the Year in 2003.
