The renovation project includes refurbishing 100 motel rooms and expanding and modernizing the meeting facilities. The park’s restaurant is also being renovated. The building that houses the lodge and restaurant overlooks scenic
While the lodge is being renovated, the cabins, chalets, campgrounds, golf course, and beach remain open for visitors. The park has 16 lake view cottages with capacities of one to eight people and 18 chalets for one to six people. All are set up for light housekeeping. The chalets are equipped with fireplaces, televisions and telephones.
The campground includes 364 improved sites, and primitive camping is also available. A camp store, boat dock, tennis courts, and laundry are nearby.
The architect for the project is Goodwyn, Mills & Cawood, Inc., from Montgomery, and the construction company is Wild Building Contractors out of Morristown, Tennessee.
