Alabama State Parks Announces Energy Efficiency Project

Event: Alabama State Parks Groundbreaking for Energy Efficiency Project with Johnson Controls

Location: Oak Mountain State Park Office, 200 Terrace Dr., Pelham, Ala., 35124

Officials with Alabama State Parks and Johnson Controls will break ground on a new energy efficiency project that includes upgrades for six state Parks: Oak Mountain, Joe Wheeler, Lake Guntersville, DeSoto, Cheaha and Lakepoint.

The comprehensive energy program is anticipated to save Alabama State Parks more than $9.1 million over 15 years.
