Emergency Rule Regarding Aircraft at Gulf State Park in Effect

Rule 220-5-.18-.154ER, entitled, “Aircraft at Gulf State Park”, was adopted on January 5, 2007 by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) on an emergency basis.

This emergency rule was adopted to address an immediate danger to the public health, safety, and welfare regarding the operation of aircraft at Gulf State Park. 

This emergency rule makes it unlawful to operate any aircraft or seaplane of any type on any lake within Gulf State Park, including, but not limited to, Lake Shelby, Middle Lake, and Little Lake; provided, however, that this prohibition shall not apply to official emergency, governmental, or military aircraft conducting official operations.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this regulation shall be punished as provided by Section 9­-2­-9, Code of Alabama 1975.
