Naish Promoted to Sergeant with Conservation Department

Conservation Enforcement Officer Steve Naish has been promoted to Sergeant with the Enforcement Section of the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF). Naish is based in Greene Co. where as sergeant he assists with field supervision and training of field officers in WFF District Three.
Before joining the WFF Enforcement Section in 2006, Naish was a 25-year veteran of the Birmingham Police Department where he served as a patrol officer, patrol sergeant, mounted police sergeant, and sergeant in charge of motorcycle patrol.
Recently Naish received an Alabama Marine Police commendation for assisting in locating a crashed aircraft in Marengo Co.
In addition to his WFF enforcement duties, Naish is on the Quality Deer Management Central Alabama Chapter Board of Directors and is a member of the Oaks Hunting Club in Greene Co. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, hockey and football.
Naish and his wife Patricia raised their two children in Birmingham. They have two grandchildren.
