Fishing Event at East Lake in Birmingham on June 4, 2011

	Fishing is a favorite pass time for families. Photo on the left, is a prize catch, the first fish caught during the East Lake Annual Fishing Rodeo hosted by Birmingham Parks and Recreation. Photo on right, these channel catfish were caught by a father and son duo. The son claims he caught the bigger of the two fish.
My first fish of the day. I think I will try for another.	Quality time means a lot to young people. A father fishes with his son.

Fish art!	The Birmingham Zoo was kind enough to a bring critters to the fishing rodeo. Look! A cool alligator.

Grilling and fishing goes together.	Mayor Bell was on hand for the festivities. Here a youth wins fishing equipment and gets a photo opt with the Mayor of Birmingham, AL. A fishing trip can create lasting memories.
