Wilson Elementary School Fishes and Learns about Nature at the Montgomery Arboretum, May 23, 2012

A "First Fish Certificate" is available from the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division.

Wilson Elementary anglers practice casting first.	They enjoy the casting.
When the time to fish comes, Wilson Elementary School students come through with some catches.	The Montgomery Arboretum is a great place for students to fish.
A mosquitofish and a bluegill caught from seining are visible in the jar.	A dragonfly nymph can use jet propulsion, squirting water out the end of its body to help it move forward. A seine is used to collect small fish and assess the fish population quality in the pond.
	Students and instructors enjoy learning during lunch.
